Parts Department associate needed for leader in transport refrigeration, Heavy Equipment, trailer, and off road A/C parts. Advancement opportunities available. We have exciting growth opportunities! Part Manager Duties
• Efficient and profitable operation of the parts department
• Price parts for estimates, while also creating estimates for customers with a supplied template
• Oversee purchasing of parts and store supplies as needed
• Maintain and oversee inventory levels
• Monitor parts margins
• Maintain a working relationship with service and oversee parts needed for future and current jobs to keep workflow going
• Developing sound, cost effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business
• Maintain relationships with suppliers while looking for cost alternative options
• Work with general manager on special projects for business as needed
• Oversee cleanliness of parts warehouse and surrounding parts

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Mathematical skills to help manage the inventory, pricing and estimates
• Problem-solving skills to deal with parts inventory issues
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Leadership skills to keep the parts department running smoothly
• Product knowledge to ensure they identify parts correctly and recommend the needed parts
• Previous Parts Management experience in a similar industry is a plus

A Thermo King of Columbia Technician will diagnose, overhaul, adjust, and repair all series of motor truck and trailer equipment with the primary focus on all refrigeration unit maintenance equipment designed for commercial trucks and trailers.

Job Description:
-Perform all levels of maintenance services, with the primary focus on all refrigeration units such as Thermo King and other brand commercial refrigeration equipment designed for commercial trucks and trailers.
-Be able to test lines, components, and connections using electrical, mechanical and pneumatic test equipment
-Read complex schematics associated with the refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
-Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order
-Maintain work area appearance and safety
-Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
-Perform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner
-Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
-Provide additional support regarding preventative maintenance and tractor trailer maintenance as required by location management
-Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.
-Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Salary:
– $20.00 – $27.00 per hour

Location & Hours:
– Gaston, SC 29053 ( must be willing to commute or relocate )
– 1st opening: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
– 2nd opening: 3:30pm-Midnight Monday-Friday

Successful candidate will have 2 plus years of mechanical field background consisting of tractor, trailer, refrigeration repair or any combination of the 3.

-Being able to work over the road to troubleshoot and make Repairs
-Being able to be on After Hours Call
-Truck & Trailer Repair
-Liftgate Install and Repair

Installing:
-New Thermo King Refrigeration Units and Aftermarket A/C Sysytems
-Insulation kits in Small Vans
-Specialty Vans for all types of Customers

Hours of Operation:
-Temp Hours 2nd shift – 11am- 8pm. Once fully staffed will go back to normal hours 3pm-12am
-2nd shift – Mon-Fri 3pm-12am
-Guaranteed at least 40 hours a week

-Mon-Fri Temp Hours currently 11:00am- 8:00pm
-Will Go back to 3:30pm-12:00am Midnight as soon as fully staffed
